To prove that the applicant for spouse visa extension supporting documents meets all of the requirements as a Spouse or Partner, they have to provide supporting papers that will be evaluated by the UK Visas and Immigration Service.

  • Have met face to face;
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Be in a true and lasting relationship;
  • If either person has previously been married/in a civil partnership, the previous marriage or marriages must have ended permanently.

You must be able to verify that you are married or in a civil partnership that is recognized in the United Kingdom if you are married or in a civil partnership. If you are not married, you must show that your relationship is similar to marriage and that you have lived together for at least two years.

Financial Requirement:

For spouse visa extension supporting documents, the Applicant and/or Sponsor must be able to demonstrate that they are earning or receiving income from their job or other sources, or that they have substantial savings, and that this income/savings is sufficient for them and their partner for the period of their visa.

They must earn a minimum of £18,600 per year to be eligible for this. If you have child dependents, the amount increases by £3,500 for the first child and further £2,400 for each successive kid.
